Join our city as we celebrate 100 years
of space exploration and technology

Worcester is home to innovation and manufacturing that moved the needle in extra-planetary exploration. The first rocket was launched in Auburn and was developed in Worcester. Moon landing technology for the Apollo 11 mission, including the suits astronauts wore, and the headset Neil Armstrong used to communicate with Earth, were made in Worcester. On Saturday, July 20th, Worcester will showcase its historic and existing innovation with a series of events and exhibits.
